Happy you're here: maths anxiety new term cards

Take the first step to counter maths anxiety with your new classes. By asking students how they feel about maths, you get to know them faster, they already feel supported, and the act of sharing itself helps them make a stronger start.

These simple cards (4 per page) are best used during the very first class of the year, and collected in. They don’t have to write anything in the “what would you like me to know about you?” section, but you will frequently learn some important things at this point that will help you support them during the rest of the year.

When you’ve used then please do put in a review and tell other teachers your experiences.
