
This is a lesson I used myself to teach the Response to Stimuli concept of the Organisms Respond to their environment Unit, unit 6. - A level Biology, AQA specification.
Learning objective: To explain how organisms detect and respond to internal and external stimuli, and evaluate how these responses improve survival.
By the end of the lesson learners should be able to:

SC1: Identify different types of receptors and responses in animals and plants.
SC2: Describe how the nervous and hormonal systems coordinate responses (e.g, reflexes, tropisms, heart rate regulation).
SC3: Evaluate investigations into stimuli responses, considering control groups, validity, and improvements.
