2 great warm up games, chose your level by using either 6 or 10 sided dice and + or x. I laminate bingo on one side and multo on the other.
Reverse bingo: everyone gets a copy of the same board with numbers 1-6 or 1-10 depending on the dice. Write on the board '1 roll = 1 number'. The teacher rolls 2 dice (6 or 10 sided) and depending on level you will either + or x the two numbers eg if I roll a 4 and 3 with a x board then the answer is 12. The twist is that the 12 can go where the 3 x 4, 4 x 3, 6 x 2 or 2 x 6 the aim of the game is to get 5 in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally next to one another.
Multo : Everyone gets the empty 4 x 4 grid and the students chose the 16 numbers for their board. For x board with 10 sided dice: The numbers they can chose are any possible from 1 x 1 to 10 x 10 (or 0 x 0 to 9 x 9 if you want to practise x 0) but note that numbers such as 29 can't be rolled because there are no two numbers that have a product = 29 but a number such as 12 has many ways it can be rolled. There are no repeats on the board (can't put 12 in each box!) 4-in a row wins.
