An interesting and engaging revision activity for * Romeo and Juliet* by William Shakespeare. The board contains 36 different questions that cover characters, plot, themes and cause and effect.

Some of the questions on the board include:

  • Who is responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Explain your answer.
  • Do you think Romeo being exiled was justified? Explain your answer.
  • Explain how the theme of love is explored throughout the play.

How to use:

  1. The student rolls the dice.
  2. Using the discussion board the student finds the corresponding question.
  3. The student either answers the question or uses it as a basis for discussion.
  4. The student crosses off the question and the next student repeats the process.

The download includes two PDF copies of the discussion board:

  • One A4-sized discussion board that is perfect for partner work.
  • One A3-sized discussion board that works for small groups.

I have used for revision with GCSE students or for a fun activity with Year 9 students.
