This resource can be used as a whole lesson once some work has already been done on properties and characteristics of materials. In this lesson, children have to identify the materials used to make a car and discuss the suitability of the materials chosen based on their properties and characteristics. It can be done as group work, with feedback being conducted as a whole class. There is also a section at the end for early finishers in order to keep all students busy. This format can also be used to examine the materials used in building a house or any other building or vehicle you wish to use.
