I created a display board to show the students what they need to do to achieve each step in science. The idea is that there is a description of the step and then an example of a student's work which is leveled to the corresponding step which makes it easier for the students to see what is expected of them.
Attached is a power point of some of the images I used as well as a photograph of one of my display boards which is nearly completed (just waiting for some more examples of work for each step) Also attached is a publisher document with the steps and how the students can achieve them.
The recourse is easily adapted to suit your school.
