This ready-to-use lesson helps A-Level Biology students develop critical thinking and scientific skills when evaluating the design and reliability of research studies.
Students work in small groups to analyse contrasting scientific papers linked to real health and environmental controversies — including vaccines and autism, 5G and cancer, and air pollution and health.
The activities encourage them to question how sample size, bias, and validity affect conclusions.
