Learn how five people are using science to save the world. Explore the power of x-rays, discover the abilities of nano gadgets, learn about mimicry, using lasers to save lives and channeling the elements to protect us all.
Students will:

  • discover the science that inspired the superheroes that are popular today
  • hunt for facts and stories about the scientific breakthroughs of the past
  • write a story of their own superhero origin story, based on a science
  • go on a journey of invention and discovery around the world

This lesson plan is designed for students to explore independently at their own pace. It can also be used by parents and teachers, to direct learning on a 1-2-1 basis, and in a classroom or group setting.

The lesson plan is designed for use on a computer or tablet and there are lots of links to online content, so there is no need to print.

It is suitable for anyone, but we recommend it for ages 11 to 14.

4 - The Sensational Extra Sense (15 minutes)
