Interactive Powerpoint includes various images that can be linked to Shakespeare, his works and the times he lived. Pupils are to watch all of the images then they have to write down as many as they can remember. This is a good starter and can be a group or indiviual activity.
This is a training session that I deliver to all of the teachers that I train - at various stages of their career - although NQTs have been the ones that have got the most of it. It is yet another piece of my work that has been seen being used in training sessions where people have paid to go - so blatantly stolen. For that reason, so that no-one else makes a profit out of my work - I offer it out freely to all of my training and teaching colleagues and hope that you get a great deal out of all of the work that I have put in here!

This lesson’s LO: To come to a conclusion about who started the Reichstag Fire from looking at different sources of information
OfSted Outstanding Literacy All lessons Starter: With a new shift in focus for the 2012 framework that means that teaching and learning can only be judged outstanding if literacy and numeracy are encorporated across the curriculum, I am making a daily starter / settler activity that can be incorporated into all lessons. These mini activities are examples of a literacy activity & there is a tutorial before each. These are going to be made daily, so I'll upload them é I hope they will help other schools to boost literacy teaching. This one is about extending vocabulary.

Each of these homework menu's has 25 separate homework tasks that can be completed to assist students with the understanding of the text, and they can each be easily adapted to be easily set cover work for classes.
