An engaging series of lessons (3-4 lessons) to accompany the reading of Act 3 Scene 1, 2 & 3 of Macbeth. Using engaging videos (included) of different adaptations of these scenes to ensure pupils are exposed to the wide range of interpretations whilst reading the script.

Reading focusses ensure a purposeful viewing/reading which are structured in line with GCSE assessment objectives and skills to ensure pupils are developing their GCSE Literature skills throughout and are able to reflect on each, AO1 -3, effectively. Following group and class discussion of each reading focus, model responses are used to clarify and extend pupils understanding of Shakespeare's ideas, methods and contextual influences.

Focus on the importance of contextual influences and exploration of how renaissance culture influenced Shakespeare id provided in the start and closing activities using the reference to Mark Anthony in Act 3 Scene 1 as the hook for this.
