An engaging series of lessons (2-3 lessons) to accompany the reading of Act 5 Scene 2 - 6. Using engaging videos (included) of different adaptations of this crucial scene to ensure pupils are exposed to the wide range of interpretations whilst reading the script.

Reading focusses ensure a purposeful viewing/reading which are structured in line with NEW GCSE assessment objectives and skills to ensure pupils are developing their GCSE Literature skills throughout and are able to reflect on each, AO1 -3, effectively. Following group and class discussion of each reading focus, model responses are used to clarify and extend pupils understanding of Shakespeare's ideas, methods and contextual influences. 

Strong focus on Shakespeare's use of structural methods, dramatic irony is provided in this lesson as well a subject terminology surrounding the concept of a tragic hero.
