A three week SOL for AQA Literature Sign of Four.
Week 1 and 2 are a sequence of 5 lessons exploring the first five chapters in detail. A range of extracts are used and, during week 2, students are set a question on the development of tension and excitement for assessment.
Week 3 is focused on completing the content of the text through work sheets (provided) that have;
-an overview of the chapter.
-key questions for each extract.
-close links to all three AOs to develop your students.
Week 3 also has a supporting PowerPoint the first lesson of which has exemplar paragraphs linked to the key questions from the hand out and the rest of the PowerPoint is ready for adapting to suit teaching need.
This is a useful resource for getting through a lot of content in a short space of time whilst developing extract based analysis.
