Worksheet to reinforce the idea the simplifying fractions is achieved by dividing the numerator and denominator by a common factor. Can be used to practice simplifying by "cross-cancelling" or as an introduction or reminder of cancelling common factors before starting on algebraic fractions.

All of the answers fit into recognisable number sequences for easy marking, and the extension is to make up examples that continue the sequence.
