Six Thinking Hats (1-2 lessons)

A resource to introduce pupils at KS2 / KS3 (Y7) to the ‘Six Thinking Hats’ strategy. A Power Point presentation guides the pupils through the six approaches and provides an activity based on a scene from ‘Charlotte’s Web’. A scheme of work, information sheet, graphic organiser and worksheets supports the presentation.

The activities aim to develop the skills of critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, considering a range of points of view, prioritising and systems thinking. Opportunities for collaborative learning are also available.
