GCSE Science and Physics - Speed is often taught as a quick recap in the first lesson (of e.g. AQA unit P2).
This resource has a A3 size table mat of starter activities (some speed questions, a distance-time graph question, a v-t graph question, a mini-word search - something for everybody).
Included are ideas for a 7 station carousel of measuring speed of different objects (+ 2 ideas for extension activities). This should be a fantastic prompt for discussion and movement from "re-cycled" learning.

Thank you! Big time saver for that awkward first lesson on speed & forces. There is much more to this than just a starter worksheet - it includes details of a neat little 9 station carousel that I'm actually looking forward to trying.
I'll probably use the sheet again for homework later in the year. The placemat could actually be cut up into individual cards (and traded around the students).

Thanks for including a range of activities - from (an easy!) wordsearch to extension questions. You've probably saved me two or three hours.
Thanks P
