Make counting fun with this hands-on Spider Counting Activity, perfect for developing early maths and fine motor skills in Nursery and Reception.
This resource includes 10 spider-themed log discs, each featuring a spider web and a number from 1–10. Children recognise the number on each log disc and place the correct number of spiders onto the web, helping them develop number recognition, counting skills and one-to-one correspondence.
For an extra fine motor challenge, provide tweezers or small tongs for children to pick up and place their spiders, strengthening their pincer grip, hand-eye coordination and finger muscles in preparation for early writing.
