This is an excellent opportunity to know more about your students. When children write their ideas about being lucky, you can understand what they value and the important things in their lives. With this activity the students develop an amazing writing and speaking activities in class. Children express their thoughts and feelings, not only about things but also about their experiences, it is a beautiful reflection task.

This resource includes four pages: two black and white and two in color. In the first version teachers and students reflect about what being lucky means and experiences make them lucky. The second version is a shamrock template that teachers use freely with their students.

Encourage students to think about how lucky they are by completing the prompts:

I am lucky because:

I can…
I have…
I am…
I feel…
I love…
I help…

This is perfect for classroom display!
Good Luck :)
