2013 is the 150th birthday of the London Underground. This quick activity or starter shows a London map then stylised map of the routes, including the current iconic tube map. Students have to plan routes and work out the distnace travelled each year by a train, then compere it to the distance around the equator. Running time : 10-15 minutes
