Description:
This 46-page vocabulary unit is part of a five-semester course. The unit is split into two sections. One for students and one for teachers.
The student section has 22 pages which contain a front cover page, an index, an explanation and a definitions page which has 35 common vocabulary words and their definitions or descriptions.
Each unit uses the same 35 to 60 core words or phrases in all of the activities. This was done intentionally in order to give students a solid base on which to build their language experience.
The next section has three exercise pages which include 10-photo, multiple choice, fill-in-the missing words, correct or incorrect, spot the error and discussion questions for a total of 60 questions.
It also has three more pages which include a reading section, a conversation section, and a writing section.
Next, there is a decoder box, a magic square, a missing-letters a multiple choice and study worksheet.
The section finishes with a chutes and ladders board game, two sheets of notebook paper and a back cover.
The teacher section has 24 pages which contain a front cover page and an index.
The following pages include answer keys for the three exercise pages, the reading, conversation and writing pages, the crossword puzzle, the decoder box, magic square, missing letters and multiple-choice worksheets.
Next, the section includes four pages which have 36 flash or playing cards.
Finally, the teacher units have a matching exam and a blank answer sheet along with answer keys for both. The unit finishes with a back cover.
How to Use the Unit:
Students will follow the directions and perform the tasks for each activity.
Teachers will use the answer keys, cards and exam to instruct and correct their students.
The unit can be printed and handed out to students in the class.
The unit also works great for extra homework practice, extra credit or material for substitute teachers.
You can save on printing costs by posting the unit on your platform. Have students complete it with a PDF editing program. You can also project the material on a wall in the class and have students write down the answers in their notebooks.
