A resource aimed at KS3 as an introduction to straight line graphs.

Students group coordinates according to patterns, establish rules, then plot the coordinates on four quadrants.

Rich discussions follow that can include vertical and horizontal lines, y=mx + c, functions.

A truly rich activity and the students loved it too!

This was actually a really thought-provoking activity. In groups, students had great conversations about how x and y could be related. Coming up with a rule really deepened their understanding. Was way better than I expected! Thank you :)
