This teaching unit is based upon the 2021 documentary, The Rescue, directed by Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi. The film focuses on the gripping and inspirational rescue of a team of 12 soccer players and their coach from a flooded Thailand cave in 2018.
