Lesson planning is the topic for this episode as twelve secondary teachers discuss their strategies for success.
The teachers review their own methods for planning lessons, including how they plan for differentiation, their strategies for engaging students in their lessons, and how to plan different endings for their lessons.
The teachers also talk about how to plan for progression after a lesson, what can go wrong with planning and how planning must be flexible as you never know when a lesson might take a different direction.
Teachers must know their subject and the lesson objectives first. Keep lesson plans simple and never serve them up from QCA or National Curriculum file notes. Many teachers are a slave to their lesson plans and really don't know what they are talking about. They have never read the book or the poem and just use the guide notes. Some even never have thought about how to complete the relevent math problem etc.
