Teaching resource for division/sharing Sharing is caring

The green area represents the amount we have to share (the first number) ÷ the number of people who we are sharing with = the blue answer. This scaffolds the layout/structure of short division (see my other sheet on division strategies) with the denominator on the outside of the | vertical line and the amount on the inside | with the answer above the horizontal line. The descriptions are on the second page if your students need them.
You can use whatever you have in your classroom if you want to put physical objects in the spaces or you can laminate and use whiteboard markers.
