A simple IWB game designed in Powerpoint to support early number skills - cardinality and symbolic number recognition. Children say how many reindeer they can see presented in each ten-frame and click on the matching symbolic number (varying amounts within 10).
This game is ideal for use in whole class teaching and provides a good introduction or daily practise of number recognition skills using a ten-frame This Maths number game has a Christmas Reindeer theme (40 slides in length and is easily adaptable)
This resource also includes free ten-frames with different arrangements of reindeer - amounts within 10 and matching number digit cards. This activity is ideal to print for continuous provision or small guided group work. Children are invited to match amounts of reindeer presented in the ten-frame with the correct symbolic number card. Extra Challenge - find number pairs of numbers that make 10.
