This is a free exam analyser for teachers. It produces a quantitative and qualitative report for both the teacher and the students. If you enter the optional data it will produce a list of weak areas that each student needs to focus on.

Required entries:

  • The test title
  • The students’ names
  • The maximum marks available per question
  • The score for each question for each student
  • Grade boundaries

Optional Entries:

  • Description of Q
  • Skills used in Q (e.g. recall, application, evaluate, analyze, graph, calculation).
  • Syllabus areas used in Q (e.g. light, electricity, mechanics)

The spreadsheet was written in Microsoft Excel. There are no macros and no protected cells, so be careful when editing. Only alter data in the yellow boxes or green boxes.

The reports are generated in sheet 2 and sheet 3. Printing works best if you copy the student sheets into word.

I’m uploading this because I found the spreadsheets available on TES required macros and didn’t work reliably or they were not free. If you have any suggestions for improvements I’ll try and add them in, but my response time will be very slow.
