Steward tells them they will receive $50,000 if the button is pressed, but it will cause the death of a stranger. Norma feels intrigue towards the idea, while Arthur is offended by it. The story details the couples moral debate over whether to press the button as an answer to their financial struggles. The temptation and selfishness brought on by the button causes conflict between Norma and Arthur. Will the button be pushed or are the Lewis’ moral compasses too strong?
