THE CATCHER IN THE RYE

A six item set of practical, individual lessons (approximately 6 to 7 lessons for completion) that may be useful as immediate additions to your existing Catcher in the Rye unit, as homework activities or as extension activities for fast finishers. Three of the resources are explicit teaching of enhanced essay writing techniques for better opening paragraphs, use of tri-colon for substantiation and use of connectives to enhance fluency and continuity.

The resources are self contained, with skill testing at each step so student understanding can be evaluated. Each of the six items has separate answers on handouts or powerpoints for self-marking should you assign your students to work on their own.
