Photocopy the tw word documents back to back on A4 and distribute to students. Introduce the scenario - you are crash landed on a desert island and must use your knowledge of plant photosynthesis and nutrition and farming to map where you are going to grow the species listed on the sheet on the island so that you can survive long enough to be rescued. Students are permitted to use the remains of the plane (they started suggesting using the engine blades to make windmills for electricity generation etc). Lots of independent thinking here. Present at the end in groups.
