A fun and creative way for your students to summarize what they have read and learned in the novel, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo.
Students will be writing about the setting, plot, theme and about a favorite character.
Students will have the opportunity to rename Edward and draw him with new clothing.
A great way to introduce or culminate the novel.
Students will be able to learn or review, 40 vocabulary words found in the novel, while completing the word search (answers included).
After completing the word search, students will be able to write sentences on the sentence writing sheet, using 10 vocabulary words of their choice.
A word sort sheet is also included, where students could place the 40 vocabulary words in the correct parts of speech category.
The "Edward Tulane" acrostic sheet could be used while reading the novel to describe his character. Students could write one word next to each letter or a full sentence.
A BONUS "Story Book Character Trait" sheet is also included. This sheet could assist the students in completing the acrostic.
