What is the Mole and why is it important in Chemistry?

This is the the first in my series of Chemistry Calculation workshops. All designed as ‘bite-sized’ powerpoint files. These focus on step by step guidance on how to do calculations but include an introduction to any Chemical idea and equations required to do calculations.
The Amount of Substance Workshop is in four parts, this first part deals with the idea of ‘the mole’, focusing on why it is important in Chemistry. The remaining parts include; Balanced Equations, Calculating Moles and applying these skills to calculate reacting masses, limiting reagents, % yield, atom economy, titration results and water of crystallisation.
These workshops cover material in both GCSE and A level Chemistry.
