Full and informative lesson on the different sections in an orchestra, the instruments which belong to each section and the role of the conductor. Includes many sound clips of the different instruments, so the students can learn the name of the different instruments, see what they look like and hear what each instrument sounds like. There is also a video clip about the role of the conductor where the students can join in and beat time! There is a clip of a whole orchestra playing together and the students have to see how many instruments they can recognize and name. Finally, there is a homework task. This is a very full lesson, which could be split over two lessons. Very informative with lots of opportunity for visual and auditory learning. Suitable for all ages.

This is pretty basic but has some good clips. No activities included for kids, its a 'chalk and talk' style lesson.
