Two lessons including B1 and B2 presentations, animated assessment quiz, lesson notes and additional student tasks. These dynamic Powerpoint lesson plans include a range of speaking and fluency activities for you to engage your students in grammar both online and in the classroom.

Both presentations give a complete review of the passive tense, how it is structured and how its use differs from the active tense in English grammar and communication. The exercises included encourage speaking, and not only help students to master the passive form in grammatical detail, but also discover how to use it effectively. This makes for an engaging lesson that encourages students to both use the form and consider why it is used.

Each lesson is about an hour long, but can just as easily be expanded to 90 minutes depending on the class size and the use of activities. Both lessons have been conscientiously structured to present learners with a clear way to recognise, analyse and deconstruct the meaning of passive tenses. As with all of the English Evolution Learning presentations, there are a variety of tasks and exercises that get your students speaking and producing the forms in context whilst also assessing their learning as they go through the lesson.

Presentation is an important part of the learning experience and these Powerpoint lessons will grab your students’ attention with animated slides and regular activities. Most importantly, by the end of the lesson, students will have a much better understanding of the passive tense and how it is used.
