Pirate Game – Complete Class Set (32 Unique Grids!)

Mr Collins’ excellent Pirate Game inspired me to create a set of 32 pre-filled grids for students, ready to print and play.

The boards can be printed either:

  • One per A4 page for maximum writing space, or
  • Two-up per sheet using your printer settings to save paper.

Of course, the game remains highly unpredictable even when grids are reused. The coordinate picker (available elsewhere) introduces further randomness, and the choices and strategies of the players ensure that no two games ever play out quite the same way.

Students absolutely love the Pirate Game, but one of the few drawbacks is the time taken for everyone to fill in their grid before the action can begin. For some classes, particularly younger pupils or slower writers, this can take several minutes and eat into valuable lesson time.

These ready-made boards remove that problem completely. Simply print, hand out, and start playing.

Each board includes:

  • A fully completed 7×7 Pirate Game grid
  • Clearly-labelled coordinates
  • A quick-reference key for all special squares
  • A points-recording area
  • Shield and Mirror tracking boxes
  • A Bank box for recording final banked points
  • Full colour but can be printed in greyscale too

All completely free.

And finally, a huge thank you to Mr Collins for creating such a brilliantly simple, engaging and wildly popular classroom game. This resource is simply an attempt to make it even easier for teachers to enjoy using it with their classes.

**Happy pirating! **
