The Secret of Black Rock - Define

A weeks worth of resources based on the book The Secret of Black Rock by Joe Stanton.

Monday - Predictions based on the Front Cover
Tuesday - Friday - Shared reading and defining vocabulary within the text.

This really helped the children to understand the story and how it was written for effect. It gave the children the confidence in the second week to change parts of the story through Talk for Writing using a wide range of vocabulary.

Resources are usually cut up, stuck at the top of the page and children write underneath.
