-4 full lessons that develop a success criteria for exploring extracts from The Sign of Four.
-6 Starters that provide an extract and Paper 1 Section B question for students to complete as an extended starter.
Each lesson and Starter contains an extract from the text 'the Sign of Four' in chronological order. Up to and including the end of Chapter 5.
The full lessons include:
-The creation of a 5 step Success Criteria for applying to any extract and any question.
-A different extract and question for every lesson.
-A task slide followed by a slide that displays exemplar answers for every step of the Success Criteria.
-Model answers that show students how to embed quotations into their writing.
The extended starter lessons include:
-An extract from the text
-A question to answer based on the exemplar AQA Literature Paper 1 Section B style of question.
-The Success Criteria for answering displayed.
The Success Criteria is easily adapted to include the need to find other examples from different parts of the text.
