The Spartacist Revolt 1919

Dear Colleague,

This is the fourth lesson in the Germany 1919–1945 series. It focuses on the Spartacist Uprising, covering its causes, events, and consequences. Students will consolidate knowledge through matching activities and discussion before practising 4- and 8-mark exam questions to strengthen exam skills.

All lessons are interactively assessed and have the same structure to get the students taught in a coherent manner, help them understand where they are at, during the delivery:

LO 1: To understand the balance of forces after the 1919 elections ​

LO 2: To Identify the differences with the Russian Revolution​

LO 3: To create two Exam model answers (4 and 8 marks)​

Four progressive tasks follow the Bloom taxonomy covering all different learning styles.
All tasks are assessed.
A very straight forward lesson.
The resources are at the end of the Power Point, ready to print and start.
