The story behind the story – Mountain Challenge
Read with your students the story “Douglas wakes up.” This has been especially written by Johnnie Young and based on thirty years of teaching students creative writing is designed to intrigue them and evoke creative responses.
Then ask students to continue the story and then explain what is happening for this set of circumstances to come about.
