The Wild Robot reading planning Year 3

5 sessions of reading planning based on the first 6 chapters of ‘The Wild Robot’.
Slides are in pastel shades to support dyslexic learners
Different sessions are in different colours and the lesson number is at the top with the learning intention. These can be edited to LO, WALT etc.
There are lots of opportunities for book talk and reading partners to encourage reading fluency, confidence and peer learning
Some activities are clipped images and can be copied on to a word document for printing
Each session covers different areas of reading VIPERS and are in line with the NC
Questions are pitched around a year 3 level, with opportunities to extend for higher attainers
The lined boxes are there for modelling/ marking so that you can answer together and children can self assess
