Complete lesson, titled, ‘How did a dance lead to a Massacre in 1890?’ The lesson starts with an image of the Ghost Dance on the board. One pupil will turn away from the board and draw, as their shoulder partner looks at the board and describes the image. Then, context is put on the board. Pupils will then move the text boxes/cards into chronological order using the linking vocabulary to show the events leading to the Massacre. Plenary includes reactions to the Wounded Knee Massacre and 2 questions to answer in written form.
