The Zodiac Tierkreis

Activities are designed for use as a starter or plenary activity in German, with some potential for use with a non specialist cover teacher or library based lesson. The language level is aimed at higher level students. The students are presented with the 12 signs of the Zodiac (Tierkreis) and a statement relating to the suggested attributes of a person born under that sign. Students are challenged to translate the statement and this can be a springboard for oral work. There are also 4 black and white slides to facilitate written work as an extension activity. Use of a German /English dictionary is suggested. The whole presentation has 4 activities and 18 slides. Hyperlinks are embedded throughout
