This is a FUN way for students to work on Common Core Math Standards (word problems: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)!
Directions: Cut and laminate (if desired) all cards and pumpkins.
I like to either print them on card stock, or back them with construction paper.
Glue a pumpkin onto each card.
Pass out each student an answer/work sheet. Then, place the cards in the classroom or the hallway.
You can place them on chairs in your room, along the walls, on the board, on desks, etc.
I have always done this activity in the hallway. Students use a book or clip board and walk around in teams searching for the pumpkins and then working out each problem. Some classes have even done a full scale scavenger hunt around the school searching for them. Choose what works best for your school and class. I also tell my students that all partners/group members must show their work on the recording sheet.
Students have a blast and are still working hard on Common Core math with this activity.

All problems are aligned to Third Grade Common Core Standards.
ENJOY!
