TONGUE TWISTERS competition

This session was a Tongue Twisters competition that we hosted at our school, as part of the year 8 Scholars programme. These are not your average tongue twisters for English language, but rather poems that twist your tongue… some are focused on the use of a letter, some on the use of a topic.

It has three levels of difficulty: Easy, Medium and High and pupils will need to chose one tongue twister from each level, then compete either individual or in pair (with synchronisation!) against each other.
We completed this challenge over 2 hours, but if there is more time, there is an extra tongue twister in a dialect that can be translated in standard English.
