Topic 1- GCSE Medieval Medicine Edexcel

This bundle includes 3 double lessons covering the first six lessons of the Edexcel GCSE (9–1) Medicine Through Time course. As we teach in doubles, each PowerPoint covers two lessons.

The lessons included are:

Lesson 1: Who were Hippocrates and Galen?
Lesson 2: What were the causes of disease in Medieval England?
Lesson 3: How was disease treated?
Lesson 4: How was disease prevented?
Lesson 5: Who cared for the sick?
Lesson 6: What was the Black Death?

All lessons are fully resourced and editable and include a starter sheet, homework task, worksheets, activities and answers.

Every lesson also comes with two PowerPoints: a teacher copy containing detailed subject knowledge, explanations and teacher guidance, and a separate student copy that can be uploaded independently. Each student PowerPoint includes a catch-up slide so that students who miss a lesson can quickly complete the key learning and get back up to date.

The resources are designed to be easy to follow, with everything needed to teach each lesson from start to finish.
