Trigonometry Lesson Plan and Resources GCSE
by l.orme
4.728 reviews
A lesson plan and teaching resources used for an observation lesson on GCSE trigonometry. The lesson takes about 2 hours if you have a mid to high ability group. A very high ability group could possibly complete the lesson in 1 hour. The deciding factor is how much time you want to give up to the mathematical discussion. Pupil assessment and exam question worksheets are included for teaching the lesson.

A 39 page resource of the revision cards/activities I have used with my classes when finishing topics or when revising for exams. Included in the resource are templates for you/your students to create your own revision cards. There are over 10 different revision cards to create/use. I have also provided examples/pictures of cards I have made, and some they have created too! All instructions to create each card are included in the resource.
Transformations booklets (36 pages)
Four booklets over 36 pages covering transformations (excluding negative and fractional scale factors). A second copy of these booklets containing answers is also included. The booklets cover doing and describing, of course, and they really allow learners to build their skills from a very basic level. All work can be completed in the booklets.

GCSE Foundation Maths Complete Revision AQA Edexcel
A GCSE Foundation Maths PowerPoint presentation I created from some revision worksheets I use. It contains slides on how to answer all the types of questions that may come up in the foundation exam. It was created with AQA and Edexcel (foundation) in mind, but may be suitable for other exam boards too.

Additionally, could be good revision for Higher GCSE students too. I use it with my high KS3 Students as they are more than capable understanding the material.

I have split it up into four areas: Number, Algebra, Data/statistics, and Shape/Space/Measures.

All funds raised by the sale of this resource will be donated to the NSPCC.
Factorising Quadratics Lesson(s)

LOs, before examples for you to cover with your class on each permutation of signs in the brackets once factorised a very scaffolded approach to suit lower ability students.
All answers included for questions posed to students.
Other starter activity is to find pairs of expressions that match before continuing with the series of lessons.
Finally, a 'My favourite No' (see my blog mrcollinsmaths.blogspot.co.uk) plenary task to review students learning.

Transformations KS4 presentations, puzzles, worksheets and more
A full set of resources for developing transformations at KS4 or build upon my other resource at KS3. An introduction of the four transformations of KS3, or review of symmetry, which can be done by children on an interactive board. Then a full presentation of the four at KS4 with rotations, reflections, translations and enlargements, with lots for the learners to try. Plus a worksheet with eight questions from GCSE to complete. A multiple choice quiz for plenary or recap in the next lesson. A full lesson plan is included, plus objectives. An exciting lesson that reviews and builds upon existing knowledge.
