A simple desk support visual mat for children in KS1.
The mat includes:
- A pre-cursive alphabet in upper and lowercase,
- Some tricky words - said, saw, was, when, went, they, then, are, put
- Conjunctions - and, but, because, if, so, or, that
- Visual - hundreds/tens and ones
- A number line to 30.
I laminate and tape these to the children’s desks to encourage more independence and accuracy before asking for help.
