These “Types of Sentences – Declarative, Interrogative, and Imperative” worksheets are designed to help students recognize, understand, and correctly use the three main kinds of sentences in English. Through twelve engaging and progressively structured activities, learners practice identifying sentence types by purpose and punctuation, rewriting sentences with correct grammar, and creating their own examples.

Each worksheet includes clear tasks and 11 examples that encourage students to analyze sentence meaning, punctuation marks (periods, question marks, and exclamation points), and word order. Activities include identifying sentence types, correcting errors, adding punctuation, rewriting sentences, and matching examples to categories.

These exercises strengthen fundamental writing and grammar skills by showing how Declarative sentences make statements, Interrogative sentences ask questions, and Imperative sentences give commands or requests. By the end of the unit, students can confidently classify and construct all three sentence types, improving both their written expression and reading comprehension.
