I have used this wonderful book (La première gorgée de bière - Philippe Delerm) as part of the IB B Higher Level course; it is a succession of very 'short stories' which describe the small pleasures of life which we take for granted. It is deeply rooted in French culture and allows the teacher to explain some of the French customs. The stories are very well written. The book was a huge success in France.
