UNBOXED Learning - SEE MONSTER: Make a rain gauge Ages 7-11

SEE MONSTER, which was developed as part of the UNBOXED festival, has designed an education and learning programme that allows schools of all stages to be part of the big questions – what do we do with the structures we inherit? How do they play a part in our lives? What actions can they inspire? And what effect does the British weather have on our Isles?

Pupils watch a demonstration on creating a rain gauge and then use it to record rainfall amounts.

This resource was created as part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK, a celebration of creativity that took place in 2022 across the four nations of the UK. Ten projects brought together science, technology, engineering, the arts and maths, to create unforgettable experiences in person and online for an audience of 18 million.
