Valentine's Day Alphabet & Beginning Sounds Activities & Worksheets

These Valentines Day activities provide fun, hands on learning for letter identification, uppercase and lowercase matching, beginning sounds, alphabet tracing and more! Students can match same case letters, upper and lower case letters and beginning sounds with the LOW PREP Valentines Day center. Then they can practice what they have learnt with the hands on letter matching worksheets and letter tracing worksheets.

This resource includes a center with 6 different matching options and simple student prompts for each version, and 12 worksheets for tracing and matching letters.

RESOURCE OVERVIEW

This resource is great for EYFS / PreK students learning the letters of the alphabet, lowercase and uppercase, and beginning sounds.

The center options included are as follows:

• Uppercase & Lowercase Match 1 - Find the lowercase letters to match the given uppercase letters
• Uppercase & Lowercase Match 2 - Find the uppercase letters to match the given lowercase letters
• Uppercase Match - Matching the same case - uppercase to uppercase
• Lowercase Match - Matching the same case - lowercase to lowercase
• Beginning Sounds Match 1 - Find the beginning sounds pictures for the given lowercase letters
• Beginning Sounds Match 2 - Find the beginning sounds pictures for the given uppercase letters

The centers can also be extended by using the cards as write and wipe cards for letter formation.

The worksheets included in this resource focus on letter tracing, and matching uppercase and lowercase letters. These can be used as lesson worksheets, homework, additional practice, assessments etc.
