Work for a couple of lessons on the topic of Variation, suitable for Key Stage 2 and could easily be adapted for use with older children. Includes:

1. A 31 slide powerpoint looking at the key ideas behind variation within a species. Includes lots of opportunities for fun and interesting discussion and participation. Part 2 extends into the differences between continuous and discontinuous variation.
2. 3 activities to collect and present data on variation within the class or group, differentiated as to whether you wish to discuss continuous and discontinuous variation in the first lesson. All files easily adaptable to suit specific requirements.
